Julian HernandezA native of El Paso, Texas, Julian enjoys numerous solo, chamber, and orchestral engagements across the U.S. and abroad. He most recently served as principal clarinetist with the Fayetteville Symphony from 2014-2016 and is a regular performer with the Charleston Symphony (SC). He is currently the clarinetist with Houston-based wind quintet, WindSync.

As an instructor, he has partnered with various social music programs and has presented masterclasses across the U.S. and Central and South America. His most recent engagements include masterclasses at: the Frost School of Music, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Esperanza Azteca in Mexico, Wildwood Academy of Music and Arts (AR), BLUME Haiti in Cange, Academie Musicale Occide Jeanty in Haiti, Midwest Young Artists Chicago, Anchorage Youth Symphony, Metropolitan Youth Symphony (OR), and the Nationale Volksmuziekschool in Suriname. 

Julian attended Baylor University, the University of Michigan, and the Eastman School of Music and currently resides in Houston, TX, where he maintains a private studio of students ages 12-18 and works alongside his colleagues in WindSync.
