PRIZM In the Community
PRIZM in the Schools introduces high-level music making to students in underserved communities by giving them regular instruction from and interaction with professional musicians.
The program includes 6 weeks of weekly lessons, and seminars on topics ranging from concert etiquette, performance etiquette, bowing, to public speaking. The program culminates in several performances by students, and joint performances of PRIZM Ensemble and students.
PRIZM Ensemble provides educational, engaging, and entertaining programs appropriate for young children Pre-K through 2nd grade. The shows are about 30-40 minutes in length, but can be tailored to your needs. If you would like to book members of the PRIZM Ensemble to visit your school or child care facility, please contact Carina Nyberg Washington 901-596-9105 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The OMusic Project is funded by ArtsMemphis ETC Grant (Engagement builds Communities). It is a collaboration project of PRIZM Ensemble and Visible Community Music School. The intent is to help revitalize the community through music education and exposure. The project will take place at Melrose High School and Orange Mound Outreach Ministries, and the project will culminate in collaborative performances in Orange Mound community.
